The best day ever!

What happened to make these two boys so happy?

SNOW!!  IT SNOWED!!  CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?

As soon as the snow started to fall, the boys got their winter clothes on (Mittens!  They got to wear real mittens!) and ran outside!
It was Isaac's first time seeing snow!

As it grew dark and we walked back to our house for dinner, Isaac said, "Will the snow last forever?"
Sadly, it did not.  As I type this, most of the snow has melted.  But it did stay long enough for one afternoon of true winter fun.

Fine Dining

We're starting a pattern of shopping at Costco on Friday night, because that's where all the fun happens!
We usually eat dinner there too.  The boys usually order f00t-long hot dogs with plenty of ketchup, mustard and relish.  However on our last visit, they wanted to try some new options:

Isaac ordered a piece of "everything pizza" and ate every bite.  Well, we had to convince him to leave some crust behind because we thought he might explode!

Noah ordered a chicken Ceasar salad, and ate the whole thing by himself.
Now that's what I call fine dining at Costco prices!

A day in the life

Here's a look into our life last week:

Noah reading the Wall Street Journal on the way home from school.  He informed me about the Post Office cutting service on Saturdays starting in August, and that US Airways and American Airlines are going to merge.   He's a great news source!

Here's Isaac riding his "birthday bike" at the playground after I picked him up from preschool.  We usually have about an hour of play time together before we pick up Noah.  Isaac loves it when he can be a speed demon and race up and down a corner of huge deserted parking lot.  Then, when he needs a break, he parks his bike and pretends to fill it up with gas, or get the tires rotated at Costco.
Have I mentioned we go to Costco a lot?
