Snow Cones

Snow cones are a special treat in our family.

Noah usually has a snow cone when we visit the beach in the summer, but when he saw them on the menu at the Phoenix Zoo, he just had to have one!

Of course, when Isaac saw what Noah ordered, he just had to have one too!

Mmm...snow cones.  The perfect way to turn a fun day into a delicious day.

Drum Practice

Any time is a good time to practice drumming! Noah and Isaac took a break from home study to practice their drumming skills. They're listening to Noah's praise and worship CD from school and using chopsticks as drumsticks. They make a pretty good team!

A Simple Christmas

We had a wonderful, simple Christmas.  The boys had simple requests that brought true happiness.  Noah asked for stickers, candy cane tea and a sticker book.  Isaac asked for candy canes, stickers and a baby Moses in a basket (just like the one on the cover of his Bible).

As a surprise, the boys also got walkie talkies.  They love them and have had so much fun playing all sorts of games, especially pretending to be an airport control tower and landing planes in the backyard.  Noah also got his first Lego Minstorm kit and he and Matt built a robotic R2D2 which can perform pre-set actions.  It's his first glimpse into the world of robotics!

Cousin Fun

 It was great to get together with Dave, Travis, Connor and Jacob while we were in Phoenix. We had a great time hiking on a beautiful day!

This blog has been silent as we have been upgrading and transferring from Blogger to Wordpress.   Matt has worked countless hours behind the scenes to fix some glitches with our older pictures, and I'm so thankful for all of his hard work that makes this blog possible.

A New Year's Day Hike

 Once our eyes adjust from the lush green of North Carolina to the desert brown of Arizona, we're always amazed by the beauty of the desert.  The boys have wanted to climb mountains every day, and that's an easy task when there's a beautiful mountain right next to Grammy and Yaya's condo.  The path is an easy hike, and the views of the mountains are breathtaking!
